I haven’t posted in some time and this is the best first post I could put up to start things up again! I didn’t know I could appreciate his music more than I already did! The ILLEST producer to have walked the earth and thank you for sharing your amazing body of work!
Created in 2006, this remembrance piece is created as a tribute to the memory and legacy of James “J.Dilla” Yancey. This is a piece designed for his fans and supporters who knew of his accomplishments before February 2006 and those that have grown to appreciate his genius. Here, we gain a greater insight and understanding about our musical icon.

The folks over at Applied Acoustics Systems asked me to create a demo for their new plug-in “Chromaphone”. I use their plug-in Strum Acoustic Session on everything that I use guitar in! So…I said yes of course. The only thing was…I could only use Chromaphone in the creation of the track. (listen to the track below)
Chromaphone is pretty sick! It is very user friendly (especially visually) and you can easily manipulate sounds and make them into anything you want. It is truly a “Creative Percussion Synthesizer”!
My man @vegasoul heard the track and asked, Why didn’t you do an album? That question has now sparked a project, probably an EP though! With that said it’s time to get to work!
I played a small role in this indie film by scoring a scene for it… I’m proud to say, “Light of Mine” was selected by the American Film Institute (AFI Fest) and will be showing in the “Breakthrough” movie category!

I just got my computer back from Apple this evening and it was a good thing I re-checked my email. I completely over looked the email notifying me that “Saturday Night” was selected to be apart of Virgin America’s In-Flight Airplay/Entertainment for the month of December and the file had to be turned in my Monday the 26th. I guess I was half asleep when I first viewed it on my phone.
So…if you’re traveling on Virgin America during the month of December (which is one of the busiest months to travel), make sure you tune into the Sonicbids channel!
It’s been awhile since my last post…I’m still putting things together slowly but surely. While preparing for the next two projects (which is taking longer than I expected), Saturday Night was released as a free download and is now apart of Quicksilver Pro Events along with Rozanski’s “Creepy Neighbors Remix”. The Quicksilver Pro site will also feature a profile page along with all the other artist included.
It will be played during 2011 Quicksilver Pro France and Gold Coast, 2001 King of the Groms France (on demand), 2011/2012 Quicksilver in Memory of Eddie Aikau Hawaii and 2012 Roxy Pro Gold Coast Surfing Events.
I’m definitely excited about this promotional opportunity!
This morning I received a message via twitter from adlibs out in the Netherlands. They were nice enough to say a few words about “Saturday Night” and mention the last album. Google translator doesn’t do the post justice, however you’ll get the point! Thanks guys!
